We are Meeting the Growing Demand from Insurance Companies!

More and more homeowners are receiving requests from their insurance companies that require them to hire an inspector to report on specific systems or areas of the structure.

In the past, we were bound to the Standards of Practice of the California Real Estate Inspection Association (CREIA), the America Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) or ASTM for commercial. Following those standards, the inspector had to thoroughly inspect and report on the entire system as diligently as with any other property. This was costly and often provided more information than was requested by the insurance company — and sometimes jeopardized coverage.

We can now assist property owners on residential or commercial structures following a specific Standards of Practice that allows for the flexibility necessary to comply with insurance requirements.

If you or a client needs a minimal survey to comply with a request from an insurance company, we now provide an Insurance Compliance Survey that delivers only what the insurance company requests — at a reduced cost for the client.

As a reminder, the deadline to comply with SB 326, the inspection of Exterior Elevated Elements (EEEs), required for HOAs on balconies, stairways and walkways et cetera, passed January 1, 2025. Call or email for a quote!
